Cha Ca La Vong

(5.0)

14 Cha Ca street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi

Cha Ca La Vong restaurant in Hanoi located at 14 Cha Ca street, in the Old Quarter, 100-year-old restaurant that is often a must-not-miss in guidebooks for travelers to Hanoi. It serves one iconic, delicious dish, Grilled Fish called Cha Ca La Vong, also name of the restaurant. In the bright, noisy dining room, packed with communal tables set with little charcoal burners, a skillet of fish and other components arrives, and you submit to a brusque ceremony of tabletop cooking and do-it-yourself assembly.

I was just there and there is no need fir a menu. They only serve one dish–Cha Ca La Vong. They do have a drinks men though. There is also no need to reserve as, sadly, they have very few patrons recently though the food is really good! I tried Cha Ca Thang Long the next day and the Cha Ca La Vong at 14 Cha Ca Street was the clear winner to me.
